Townie (Tart + Brownie)

What a unique idea for this cake. The person who has invested this simple cake is so creative. Never imagine before that we can eat brownies and tart in one cake. That's way I like to introduce this cake in my city in Surabaya. I have made this cake since last year (2013) and everybody love it. The good quality of chocolate you use will influence the taste that comes out from the cake. The skin is still crisp although you keep it in the open air overnight. 





Now you can get the yummy brownie inside the tart. I also like the crack that appear on the top of the brownies. It makes the cake more beautiful.

Egg Free Green Tea Cookies

I had been searching a lot of information to make any kind of cake and cookies without egg. It is also good for those who is vegetarian. I am also practising to be a vegan forth times a week. Some researches have shown eating a lot of meat especially red meat is not good for our body although those are a protein source. However, we still can enough protein from vegetables which is much better that meat. So, I made this cookies free from egg and butter so that everybody can consume this cookies freely. ^^


After preparing all the ingredients to make those cookies, I saw a bag green tea powder that I seldom to use. Then, I got an idea to mix the green tea powder to my cookies, why not!! Because I always use the finest ingredients, this cookies comes out really well. 


Those cookies are so crunchy and tasty. The cookies still crisp although I shaped them very thick. I also put some walnut on top to decorate the cookies. 


Those green tea cookies are less sweet but still yummy. I like to make something less sweet but still tastefull to satisfy our tongue^^.


Next, I am eager to try more cookies and cake without egg and butter, and gluten free as well.

Pineapple Cookies/Pineapple Tart

I love this cake and most of people in Indonesia definitely will have this cake for any event or just as a snack. We love snacking so much, hahaha (although it is not a good habit, as long as we can control it). As it is called pineapple tart so the filling is from pineapple jam, indeed. It is also not easy to make and bake this cookies. If you overmix the batter, the cookies will become bigger once you oven it and it's not what you want. If you over fill the tart, it will crack and the jam will come out from the dough while you bake it.


Nastar, yes, that is how Indonesian people call this cookies. Nastar itselft consists of two word from Dutch which is Ananas and Taart. 


I always make this cookies with homemade pineapple cookies to make the taste even more tasteful. Hmmm, so yummy.


Thank you for my customers who orderred this tarts for their special occasion. You know that, when you take those to your mouth, it melts at your tongue. I guarantee it.^^


Love the golden color on the top of each cookie. One more think to make this cake more beautiful is influence by the way you wash the top of the tart before transferring it to your oven. Some people probably use yellow colow, but I don't like to use dye while I can use the natural one.^^

Cream Puff

Hi guys, it is nice that I can share my daily baking activities. Today, I am gonna share how I was successfully making this cream puff. Actually this was my third attempt to make this choux pastry, the first one was shrink after coming out from my oven and the second one was overbake.. Hahah.. However, I didn't give up yet. And taaraaa, finally I can vanquish this sweet tooth. I came out beautifully with the height as I expected and the skin was crisp as well.

In my country, Indonesia, this kind of cake is quite popular. Most of people will have this cake for breakfast, afternoon tea, or as a snack box for any occasion. In Indonesia, this snack is known as "kue sus" and filled with vanilla custard. 


It is a big challenge in my opinion for making this cake. Although the ingredients are just so simple which are combination of water, egg, flour, and butter. But, the way we cook, stir, and bake will affect the result. I filled my cream puff with nutella cream and some of them I covered with melted chocolate and peanut on top.

One think that I forgot was to capture the nutella filling inside the cream puffs. Sorry about that^^


I love baking so much. I think it is an art of baking, it is just so unique that the cake we bake is affected by the different weight of the ingredients we use, different ingredients you put into the batter, the quality of ingredients we use, and the how we combine the ingredients together.

Double nuts Cookies

I was with my mood to back this crispy cookies. This is the most delicious cookies I’ve ever tried and eat. This cookies is the combination of peanut and walnut. 
I like the cookies color that came out from my oven, what a lovely color.^^ I put walnut on the top of each cookie, make the cookies even more crunchy and delicious. 


It is perfectly match with a cup of tea, coffee, or mix fruit ice for your afternoon tea. So yummy and one is never enough. Hahaha..


Do you see the crumbs? I love it. It means that the cookies are soo crunchy.. When those cookies come into your mouth, it melts…^^

Nutella Mille Crepes

I was baking this cake on Saturday and I just prepared my newest flavor for mille crepes. I just sooo passion for baking^^.. Love baking so much.
To make this thousand layer cake, we need a lot of extra energy, but it is worthy when you see the pile of crepes that comes out from the cake. What a beautiful cake..^^ Pss.. You know that I spent more than 3 hours to make this cake from preparing the batter until finishing.. However, I am satisfied with the result. What dou you think???

Mille Crepes actually comes from French which means thousand layer cake. It is made from the pile of the crepes and filling with cream. It is definitely a great chalenge to set the crepes to make a beautiful layer..^^


The cake is so fluffy and creamy. The nutela I added made the cake even more delicious. Finally, I am addicted with this cake, one is never enough. I guarantee that you will fall in love this thousand layer cake.



Actually we didn’t need to use the knife to cut the cake. Fork is enough to prove how fluffy the cake is..^^. I am very happy with the result, so yummy and delicious.



Most of people like Nutella, right, count me on it. If you like Nutella, I guarantee that you will love this cake as well.

Panda Cookies

I didn't writing for donkey's year.LoL.. That's way I am very happy that I continue writing about my daily baking diaries.. I wanna share with all of you about my passion in baking. Actually I have two blogs to write my baking daily, so sometimes I post it through wordpress.

Today I wanna share my cute Panda cookies which are very delicious and tasty. Once you try to pick one into your mouth, you wouldn't stop till the end.. hahaha

I have never seen any panda in real and now pandas are on the brink of extiction. So, I have an inspiration to make Panda Cookies. Those cookies are still crunchy if you leave them overnight in the open air. ^^

To make the Panda and Friends cookies I used two different dough which one I use black color and for the white one I just use the original dough. 

Do you know that Pandas have lived on earth for more than two millions year.. Wow.. 
Remember guys, don’t sleep late or you will have the Panda’s eyes the day after... Hahaha
